BRITTANY SOMMER DESALVO
Training for Greatness
Brittany is a Hunter/Jumper instructor and trainer with over 25 years of experience. She is a talented horseman; a trainer with an intuitive understanding of all types of horses and people. She can recognizes a horse or student's strengths and weaknesses, and suggests ideas to challenge each.
Brittany has competed against some of the country's most elite riders with great success. This includes winning Horse of the Year in 1997 and competing at Madison Square Garden where she won first place among the top 10 riders in her division in the country. She has coached nationally recognized young riders and trained many young sales and show prospects. She has trained as many as 15 client horses at a time, and excels in finding the best horse for each rider.
Currently, Brittany develops, teaches, trains, and coaches many students at her farm, manages the faciltiy, and competes all over the Southeast region. She is an active member in USEF, USHJA, GCHJA, and many others.

1999 - Placed 4th and 5th nationally in the prestigious
- 1st place at Madison Square Gardens in New York
- 1st place Zone 7 Regional
2000 - High Point Junior Rider, Classics Company
2008 - Trained a student who won the Junior Hunter
Classic in Gulf Port, MS
2009 - Students were both Champion of the Junior Hunters and
Child Adult Jumpers in Gulf Port, MS and voted best child
rider on a horse
2011 - Sommerview was high point barn at the Tiger Classic
2012 - 2014 - Brittany became the top " Catch Rider" of
Mississippi and Louisiana.
Head coach of 3 different farms

2015 - Sommerview Farm won 13 end of the year
champions of Louisiana
Won 10 champions and reserve champions in Gulf
Coast Hunter Jumper Association
2016 - Won 16 end of the year championships in Louisiana
Had 6 ponies qualify for the national pony finals.
Student was CHAMPION of zone finals
Students placed 1st and 5th in zone 7 - which
includes 7 southern states
Student won champion of the prestigious Pin Oak
